I accidentally called this place inquiring about a basement support post fix and realized during the conversation that I had called the wrong state as they had the same town name. Dave answered the phone and once we realized that he was in Ohio and I was in New Jersey, he was still willing to talk me through what kind of work needed to be done on my basement and allowed me to send him pictures and talk through what he thinks needs to be done. It was absolutely selfless of him and he was patient and thorough with my question answers knowing that he was in a different state. If I lived in Ohio, I would hire these guys in a second! My partner and I recently purchased our first house and it is about 100 years old and needs a decent amount of love. We were recommended Spartan by our Real Estate Agent. And they were great they came in and installed the Support beams we needed quickly and efficiently even with the power in my area going off for about 30 minutes in the middle of them mixing cement! They were friendly, professional and they really took the time to answer our questions. If you read these reviews, you'll see that Dave Wirtz with Spartan Wall Repair is a favorite among "local" realtors. I wouldn't be surprised if near 100% of his business is due to referrals. Dave Wirtz and his team exceeded our expectations. He called in, coordinated with, and worked with two other reputable, specialized contractors to get the entire job done in a certain timeframe, manner, and order, and checked in with us throughout the process. At the end of the job (and AFTER he had already been paid), Dave Wirtz demonstrated a level of follow-through that I've never seen before from any company we've ever dealt with. This guy has the highest level of integrity we've ever seen in any contractor, and we've worked with several basement contractors, as well as other types of contractors in our 20+ years of owning 8 different homes. Bottom line: Dave Wirtz and his team with Spartan Wall Repair are reliable, professional, courteous, thorough, honest, and responsible. On top of all this, he is just "good people."
